The White Castle

The Red Castle

In north-east Shropshire there nestles the tiny village of Whittington.  Here stands the so-called White Castle where a medieval family kept a cup which they claimed was the Holy Grail.  The cup which they possessed was lost for centuries, supposedly hidden somewhere near another castle known as the Red Castle that still survives in nearby Hawkstone Park.
