The Swallow
January 15 - February 7
Swallows have tremendous potential, although they are often too self-conscious of their failures and ignore their achievements. They also tend to withdraw when in difficulty, occupying themselves with a chosen pursuit that isolates them. Although graceful in the air, the swallow is a vulnerable bird on land. Similarly, those born in the Swallow sign tend to be more artistic than technical, and they are not at their best when concentrating on materialistic pursuits, which are best left to others. Just as the swallow is seldom seen to land, a prime trait of those born in this cycle is reticence and hesitation regarding down-to-earth, practical concerns. Overcoming inertia is their primary obstacle, but they can achieve remarkable results quickly once they overcome this initial hurdle. Swallows are true romantics, loving to fantasize and reminisce. Many share a marvellous talent for captivating an audience, enlivening conversation with sheer enthusiasm for romance and adventure. Swallows seldom do anything in a conventional style but lend a showy, theatrical quality to their manifold ventures.
